Spinning is an aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle that allows each rider to control the tension and speed. As you pedal, motivating music plays, and the instructor guides you through a series of hills, sprints, and jumps. During the class the pace will vary - at times requiring you to pedal as quickly as you can, at times encouraging you to crank up the tension and the ride more slowly in a standing position. Spinning also burns serious calories! This awesome aerobic workout makes your heart pump fast and tones your quads, outer thigh muscles, abs, buttocks, and arms like nobody's business! And although you follow the general instructions of the Spinning teacher, you are always in control.
